Emry's son Hinkley's Baby Blessing 5-2-10

Bud and I decided to take a QUICK trip to St. George Ut

for Emry's son Hinkley's baby blessing.

We left Murrieta around 7:15pm and arrived 

at Whiskey Pete's around 10:45pm.  The next

morning we woke up at 5:45am (yes I did) and

left by 6:30 and we drove for 3 hours to St. George.

The blessing was great and so were the testimonies by Seth & Emry.

Bud was very impressed with Seth, Emry's husbands testimony.

After Sacrament we went to Emry's to change for the

drive home, and took some pictures.

Little Hinkley is so, so serious, such a cutie!

I captured a tiny smile from him.

Adeline is quite the character.  

Above you can see the many faces of Adeline!

She loves to have her picture taken.

Wish we could have taken pics of the rest of the family

we saw there, but everyone had places to go.

It was great seeing Emry and her family.

Shelby, Gavin, Bud & I, Emry's family, and members of Seth's family.

Rachel Performance at VMHS 5-27-10

Rachel performed at VMHS playing the Flute.

She is very good and we are so very proud of her accomplishments.

All the middle schools,and elementary schools in the district

performed along with VMHS.  It was a great performance,

especially when all 600 kids performed a song together.

Great job Rachel!

Sara's 21st Bithday Visit

Happy 21st to Sara!!!

Sara came out from NY to visit for her 21st B-day!

She spent a few days with us.

Sara wanted my Chicken Tacos for dinner with

a Vanilla cake and Reeses frosting.

Sara took Rachel & Emily to Muligans 

to celebrate all their b-days this year.

Those pictures will follow at a later date.

Emily's 11th B-day April 9th

Happy 11th Birthday to my baby!!!!!

Emily came home from Astro Camp to find that Rachel 

had decorated the house with fun stuff ALL over.

She loved it!!!

She wanted me to make my Chicken Noodle Soup,

and broccoli, for her b-day dinner.

With strawberry cake & frosting.

Jake and his friend Brian came to celebrate. 

Jake gave her an electric guitar (his old one, but she loves it)

Emily's friend Maddie Heisel also came over.

For her birthday Emily got a new camera

that she paid for with all her b-day money.

She loves taking pictures!!!!!

Emily had fun helping me make cupcakes

to take to her team that night at practice.

Even the boys LOVED the pink frosting!!!

Emily's Astro Camp trip w/school

Emily had a great time at Astro Camp!

She went from April 7th to the 9th, her Birthday!

We met at her school Lisa J. Mails,
and she rode up with some friends.

I went and picked her up on the last day.

Thanks G&G Lee for sponsoring her so that she could go!

Easter 2010 in AZ

 

We had a lot of fun going to Arizona for Easter!

It took us about 5 hours to get to Dwight & Carols house.

The next day, Bud & I headed out for a 8 hour drive 

checking out the Prescott and Flagstaff areas

for when Bud retires.

We really liked the Flagstaff area, Prescott was ok.

Rachel & Emily had a fun day with Carol.

We got back around 5pm and spent the evening

with Dwight, Carol, Big Emily, Mark, Donna & Cyanna

coloring eggs and having an egg hunt in the house.  

Emily had lots of fun hiding the eggs for the adults to find.

A couple of times we really had to search to find them or
Carol was gonna find them later when they started to stink.

Sunday started with the girls and Dwight & Carol

going horseback riding while Bud & I slept in a little.

Later around 5pm we had our Easter dinner.

Kyle & Carla joined us, along with Randy,

his mom and her boyfriend.

Great food, great company!!!

I even gave in a had a little dinner (cheated only a little).

Then Monday we headed home a took a 2 hour detour checking out Wickenburg, and Peebels AZ.

It was great finally getting home.

It was a great quick (much needed) get-away!!!!!

Buds 52!

Bud turned 52 on 3-28-10

For his B-day dinner we had Roast Chicken
with Wild Rice Pilaf,corn on the cob, biscuits,
and Pinapple-upside down cake with ice cream.

The Martins came over for dinner
and then the Morgans and Kinneys 

came over for cake & ice cream.

Christmas @ Glamis 2009

Lots of fun a Glamis.

I wish I had taken more pics of the people that were there.

Next time!!!

The kids had fun making gingerbread houses,
riding and playing in the sand.

It was just an all around great trip with NO problems.
A very relaxing way to spend Christmas
with no phones ringing.

I think I made a total of 7 or 8 scarfs
while I was there.
We didn't have a real tree this year,
so our palm trees filled in.  Thanks to Rus!

12-19-2009 Met Vanessa & Mat for lunch

We met Vanessa & Mat at Applebees about an hour from home.

They werne't able to make the wedding due to 

Mat's family having their Christmas celebration.

But it was great to see them even if only for about 2 hours.

Aunt Paula and her family came, G&G Lee, TJ and Emry,

and of course Bud, Rachel, Emily & I.

It was a FUN lunch!

Vasnessa & Mat gave Bud and I dinner tickets

to a Murder Mystery Dinner.

Can't wait to go.
